September, October, and November

I don't know what to think about the primary election results. This is a rare mid-week open thread. Give me your thoughts about the primary and general election in the comment section below.

Asking a republican's views on the Chafee - Laffey disaster is a great litmus test for whether they are a true believer in Conservatism or if they just see it as politically expedient.

I bet Swanblog supported Chaffee

Im interested in watching what should be a vitriolic if not bemusing 5th district race between Ellison and Fine. Fine came out swinging in today's strib piece ( ) and even though he doesn't have a prayer of winning, I expect fireworks.

As a side note, I found the strib's attempt in the above article to disarm Ellison's past associans to the Nation of Islam as somewhere between laughable and nausiating, as represented by the following quote:

"Farrakhan is the leader of the Nation of Islam, a group founded in 1930 in Detroit to improve conditions for black people, and many black men have been drawn to its message of empowerment."

If Ellison were tied to hezbollah, they'd probably tout it as a "wonderful community service group" or something. One more reason why the red star isn't fit to line a birdcage.
