35 DFL - 32 Republican, MN state senate.

Pawlenty wins

Webb wins VA, Steele upsets Cardin (or comes very close).

I feel stronger about Allen's chances than I do about Steele's.

But if Steele wins, what will be the ranking of fawning coverage received by Sen. Barack Obama versus that of Sen. Michael Steele?

Fawning Scale:

Barack Obama - metaphysical certitude of fawning coverage

Harold Ford, Jr., - robust, but hesitant fawning coverage due to fiscal conservative leanings

Colin Powell - fawning to the extent he pokes his finger in the eye of Republicans and was loyal to former Pres. Clinton

Condi - mild fawning, social liberalism, high points for not being Rumsfeld or Wolfowitz

Steele - yawn, not fawn

Anyone else?

I just voted. If the parade of people coming out of that place is any indication, it's going to be rough for gop! The poll worker asked me if I wanted an "I Voted" sticker. I told him "no thank, I don't want to encourage any more of them"

I forgot Cheryl "stubborn fahhhhcts" Mills. Fawning between Harold Ford and Barack Obama. High points for being articulate and anti-impeachment. Not going to be President.

Rhode Island: Whitehouse (D)
Missouri: McCaskill (D)
Montana: Tester (D)
Virginia: Webb (D)
Maryland: Cardin (D)
New Jersey: Menendez (D)
Pennsylvania: Casey (D)

Democrats take the Senate and the House. What a disaster. This is the chickens coming home to roost. Throw the bums out and let the fiscally conservative younger generation of republicans renew the party

Where does Herr Swanson fit on the Fawning Scale?

Did you notice that the scale is roughly proportionate to how fair-skinned the black person is?

This becomes even more obvious when you add Alan Keyes and JC Watts.

This puts jesse jackson jr somewhere between Colin and Condi.

Mark Kennedy was saved by George Allen this election year. If it wasn't for Allen, Kennedy would have gotten the "Worst. Campaign. Ever." award.

I think Steele will be the upset of the night. He's run a great campaign and draw more than expected support from the black community. If he doesn't upset, it will come closer than expected.

Steele will draw some fawning (he was of course the anonymous republican who interviewed with the Washington post earlier this year), but less than Ford and more than Condi.

Ok, I was wrong about Steele and was wrong about the MN Senate. Who ever saw them knocking off Belanger and Larson - two guys who have been in the MN Senate since the 1970's.

Herr Swanson's Escort is better than Jensen's Saturn, but worse than Matt's Saturn.
